Valentines Day 2012

  12. February 2012 03:49 Articles
It’s the 14th of February. Do you know what does that mean? Maybe it doesn’t mean that much to you and you may say it is just a normal day like any other day. Or probably you would say “who cares".
IT IS THE VALENTINES DAY!
Again, you might not care that much especially if you are single. But this post is not only dedicated for those who are celebrating with their loves. You, who may think have no chance to love or to be loved, can celebrate too. How?
Call a close a friend or friends and invite them for a cup of coffee/dinner/lunch WHATEVER! And don’t miss the red flower. If the red flower will put you in a big trouble, then forget it and say something nice to them. Try to limit your gossips this day and say good things and spread the love!
Get a love heart cake from any bakery, but I recommend you to get an expensive one because it is a special day, and surprise your family in home. Do not hesitate to call your other relatives to come over to share with you these tranquility moments, and spread the LOVE!
From your savings, buy something valuable for your mother or father, brother, sister, a friend, or anyone you feel that this person means a lot to you. If your savings are more than 10000KD feel free to get gifts for everyone you know “I include myself in your list” and spread the love!
Financially broke and can’t even get a red flower? spend some hours in your kitchen and serve something nice for your again, mother or father, sisters, brothers, but I don’t recommend you to do that if you are married because your wife might get advantages of doing this kind of effort. If you, my dear wife, have already spent hours in cooking the lunch for your kids this day, feel free to spend some more hours to bake them a good cake and SPREAD YOUR LOVE!
At the end, stop saying dramatic stories to yourself because we all have the same ones in our lives. Love is not restricted for couples only, love can be shared between the families, friends, and the people that surround you.
<<Blender whisper>> If you still think that you have no one in your life then you are the most pathetic sympathetic person in this universe and I would suggest you to get yourself some dark chocolate with a cup of black coffee and celebrate this day with yourself.
SPREAD LOVE BABY!!!

The Story of Susan Boyle

  12. February 2012 03:40 Articles
It's time to get yourself inspired.

When it comes to spotting the light on those talented individuals, the blender doesn’t differentiate where they come from or what their backgrounds are, as long as they are believers who believe in reaching their goals what so ever.
While I was surfing the net, I saw myself reading in depth the bibliography of Ms. Susan Boyle, the winner of Britains Got Talent in 2009.

The astonishing Scottish Susan went through rough times throughout her whole life. She was born having a deprived of oxygen at birth long enough to cause mild brain damage that resulted learning disabilities at an early age.

After she grew up, Susan found herself surrounded by a musician family which was the basic inspiration to empower her talent in singing. Her parents both were singers, and because of the lack of their income, her life wasn’t really good. Her family was emigrated from Ireland to Scotland due to the WWII. Her time in school was not really fine because she had major difficulties in learning, and that was a reason to be mocked by her peers.
They used to call her “Simple Suzie.” because back in her old days, there weren't any special Scottish schools for people like her. Later on, she found herself being encouraged by her teachers because they found that her singing talent will be her future career. She continued participating in the academic shows and earned a number of qualifications.

Because she was the only daughter who stayed with her parents, after all of her brothers and sisters left the big house, she was entitled to take care of them. She used to sing in bars, pubs, and churches.
She was encouraging herself not for the sake of money, but she wanted to do what she loved mostly. Her most famous song is “ I dreamed a dream” that time she believed that she will make all of her dreams come true. In 90’s, she participated in a couple of TV shows in UK, but for some reasons she didn’t get the chance to pass, but she didn’t give up and kept singing and worked hard to improve her skills in singing.

Unfortunately, the death of her father in 1995, her sister in 2000, and recently her mother in 2007, broke her heart. Losing the beloved ones in her life wasn’t easy to just move on. Again, because she was and still is a believer, she didn’t stop from doing what she liked, although her age was approaching 50 years. She used all of her savings to improve her voice. At the end she had the chance to participate into the most viewable televised TV show Britains got talent in 2009, and she blown away the audience with her amazing voice.
It is very pleasing to read someone’s achievements no matter how hard time he/she has been through. As long as they are believers, having faith in God, and having an amazing self confidence, they will reach their goals whether now or later. Never say too late and never say too early, just work hard on yourself and determine your goals. And here are a couple of her performances throughout the years.

In the 90's

Twitter MIGHT be YOUR Saver!!!

  28. January 2012 04:09 Articles

Regardless of the negative side effects that have been raised about those social networks like Facebook and Twitter, there are countless numbers of benefits that the user can get.

Here are some real stories from some people who have been using Twitter to help them solve their personal issues online.

It all really depends on the way we use the social networks. It makes a difference. Different people raise their children in different environments and every person handles things differently, but what matters most is how we respond towards things. It could be either a positive response or a negative one.

Well today was my first time to check out Zuma, and let me say this... I LOVED IT! I've tried many different cuisine, but this one became one of my favourite restaurants. It's a must try! Definitely worth it.

The interior is modern, yet very simple and classy. The staff were really friendly and their service was quite good. Overall, the food was amazing, and everything I tried was delicious.

Meet Hamad Jasem

  9. January 2012 09:11 Energy

The Blender comes back with a Talented Kuwaiti Director, Hamad Jasem. Hamad graduated from AUK (The American University of Kuwait) and is now working in the Ministry of Information.

1) Name, Age, Passions, interests and brief of career and personal life?

My name is Hamad Jasem. I am 28 years old. I am a  dependent film maker.

2) What makes you so interested in film direction?

I like to tell stories using arts such as acting, camera shooting, lighting ...etc. so the best way to combine all these arts though film directing and supporting the way that the story should be performed.

3) What is the message that you want to deliver in the field of film and direction?

Actually it depends on the film i'm working on. But in general i want to deliver messages that can affect people's lives in a positive way.

4) Any prizes, awards, events you attended or participated in?

I got only one prize it wasn't given to me by a festival or an organisation. But it was given to me by God, when he sent me an unknown person who called me and said i saw your documentary (the life story of Jasem). it made me kiss my father's hand and head after two years of not seeing him. I believe that is the greatest prize i got or will ever get. i don't think there is any greater prize than this one. i will never forget these words as long as I'm alive.

5) Throughout all your projects, films and work, what project/film you think represents you best?

The first film i have ever did in my entire life is called ''The life story of Jasem'' it talks about my father, a simple man who lived a simple life.

 6) What makes you special among other film directors

U should ask the audience not me.

7) What are your goals, what do you want to reach?

My goal is to make as many artistic films as possible and make a lot of people watch them.

8) Any upcoming projects/ films?

Yes, there is a documentary i am putting my final touches in it. it's called ''women's right now'' it talks about how women in Kuwait struggled for there political rights and what problems they faced.

9) Will you be participating soon in film festivals/events?

Yes i will.

10) Who influences you most in the field of film direction?

James Cameron.

11) Do you think that film direction is becoming more successful in the middle-east?

Yes it is very much.

12) Is there a competition? are you personally competing with other film directors?

No, i am not competing with anyone. In my point of view, Art is not a field that you compete in it is all about expressing your feelings. i would never think of it as a competition even if i participated in a film festival. My main purpose is to show my work to my fans and audience. I also love to learn from other film makers their way of thinking and expressing their feelings, cultures, art, religion, philosophy and thoughts.

13) Any thing you want to add?

i would to thank you for the interview and good luck.

[A BLender Wish]: Goodluck Hamad Jasem! The whole BLender team wishes you a successful career and life! and we are all looking forward to watching your new documentary, "Women's Right Now"

No more Classic iPod!

  30. September 2011 06:46 Articles

Apple will stop manufacturing its most loveable device “the traditional iPod!” at the end of this year. This quite assured information is coming out of Apple Mother Company. As we all know that the traditional iPod was a good hit for the company’s profit in the last 10 years. According to the source that the cancelation of the classic iPod is due to the new 5th generation of iPhone. That means the new iPhone will be having some elements which replace the old iPod to something a way advanced. But the company has claimed that they will keep their other types of iPods, Nano and Touch.

[Blender Whisper]: If your Apple collection is missing that classic iPod, YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE IT RIGHT NOW!
